Dr. Colin H.W. Jones, President & Chief Executive OfficerDr. Colin H.W. Jones is an accomplished researcher with extensive management and board level experience. Dr. Jones earned his Ph.D. in Radiochemistry from the University of Manchester in 1965. Since that time Dr. Jones has conducted research and written 72 publications in the fields of radiochemistry, Mossbauer spectroscopy and physical inorganic chemistry. Dr. Jones is currently a Professor Emeritus at Simon Fraser University (SFU), where he taught courses in nuclear and radiochemistry and in general chemistry for over 40 years. Dr. Jones has served in numerous management positions at SFU, including Chair of the Department of Chemistry (1979-88), Dean of the Faculty of Science (1988-99), Executive Director for International Relations (1999-2002), and Assistant VP Research (2005-07). He is also familiar with TRIUMF, having served on the TRIUMF Board of Management as a Member (1989-2006) and as Chair (1995-2000). He has also served on the Board of Science World and the Science Council of BC. |

Paul Schmor, Chief Scientific OfficerDr. Paul Schmor (Ph.D. , UBC) was the Head of the TRIUMF Accelerator Division until his retirement in June 2008 and has been instrumental in building Canadian capability in accelerator science after working 35 years at TRIUMF. Dr. Schmor has served on numerous technical review panels – the 1999 NSAC ISOL Task Force in the USA, the Review Oversight Panel (ROC) for the Canadian Light Source, the international advisory committee (IAP) of the Department of Atomic Energy of India in Kolkata, the 2006 National Academy committee on the science of radioactive beam facilities (RISAC) in the USA, the SNS (Spallation Neutron Source) Accelerator Systems Advisory Committee (ASAC), the Target Subcommittee for the US Department of Energy (DOE) Lehman reviews of the SNS and the EURISOL International Advisory Panel. Dr.Schmor is a senior fellow of the Canadian Section of the IEEE, a member of the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) and the American Physical Society (APS). He is the author of numerous papers on accelerator technology and is a co–inventor on a patent to detect concealed explosives that has been granted in 14 jurisdictions. |

Christopher J. Campbell, Chief Operating OfficerAs the Chief Operating Officer, Christopher J. Campbell is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, managing the strategic implementation of corporate objectives, monitoring project performance, as well as coordinating new product development and commercialization activities for a diverse range of technologies. Prior to joining AAPS in 2009, Mr. Campbell worked as a technical business consultant providing strategic planning, grant writing, facilitation, and business development services. In this role, Mr. Campbell helped to establish two nationally designated centres of excellence and a national neuroscience initiative. Mr. Campbell holds a degree in Physics from the University of British Columbia. His experience in applied research and technology transfer, combined with sixteen years of experience in the consumer products sector has prepared him for navigating the complex dynamics involved at the nexus of academic and commercial interests. |

Meir Deutsch, Vice President and Chief Technology OfficerMeir Deutsch joins AAPS with 18 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary product development groups and inter-company joint development ventures. Prior to joining AAPS, Mr. Deutsch worked at Tessera Technologies, Avaya and 3Com where he was responsible for commercialization and product launch of innovative technologies in the fields of image processing, computer networking and telecommunications. Mr. Deutsch is an author of five academic papers and is a co–inventor on a patent for a bandwidth sharing method. Mr. Deutsch has a Master of Science (Honors) from the Tel-Aviv University in Israel and an MBA from the University of British Columbia. He also has a Project Management Professional designation from the Project Management Institute. |

Pamela Mooney, Chief Financial OfficerMs Mooney is a member of the Certified General Accountants Association of British Columbia. She has over ten years of senior executive experience in managing new venture start-ups as well as the expansion of established business operations. Prior to joining AAPS, she worked for Fairchild Group for over 12 years where she was Vice President of Finance. Ms Mooney also has solid work experience in property management and she received her Diploma in Urban Land Economics (DULE) from UBC Sauder School of Business in 2007. She also has an MBA degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. |

Ann Fong, Corporate SecretaryAnn Fong has been involved with Technology Transfer at TRIUMF for 12 years. Prior to joining AAPS, she was the Manager of Intellectual Property and Technology Commercialization at TRIUMF. Under her direct involvement, TRIUMF had been awarded 49 patents and received more than $2 million in commercial revenue. She also has experience assisting start-ups/spin-offs with patent protection, company formation, identification of management needs and business plan writing. Mrs. Fong has a BA from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She has served on a number of TRIUMF internal committees, including an employee representative committee, the TRIUMF Board of Management Technology Transfer Sub-committee, a TRIUMF Re-Organization Task Group, and the 2010-2015 Five-Year Plan Steering Committee. |

Konstantine Sarafis, Vice President of Business DevelopmentMr. Sarafis is an experienced executive with a 16-year history of building, operating and mentoring biotechnology companies. Since 2006, Mr. Sarafis has been a consultant to emerging biotechnology companies and academic institutions wishing to commercialize new technologies. Prior to his work as a consultant, Mr. Sarafis was the CEO of GeneMax and, CEO and co-founder of Interomex Biopharmaceuticals Inc. Prior to entering the biotechnology sector, Mr. Sarafis was a researcher at the University of British Columbia (“UBC”) in the Division of Medical Microbiology. Mr. Sarafis has experience in managing intellectual property, licensing, finance, and business development. |
